Others are just grateful.
“We’ve had people hug us,” Lanett Austin, manager of human resources and community relations for Curaleaf, told the Middletown Times-Herald-Record. “We knew there was a need for this dispensary."
Curaleaf became the first medical marijuana dispensary in Orange County when it opened two weeks ago at 8 North Plank Road in the Town of Newburgh as reported here by Daily Voice.
Curaleaf's new medical marijuana is the first to open following the New York State Department of Health’s expansion of its medical marijuana program.
The dispensary is a five-minute drive from the intersection of I-87 and I-84.
Curaleaf’s dispensary will serve patients in Dutchess, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties.
Etain Health operates a medical marijuana dispensary in Kingston (Ulster County). Etain also has a dispensary in Yonkers.
